Yoshi is farting.
I seriously have no idea why he is doing this. The art looks official — Yoshi’s Island-era — but I can’t remember him ever doing this in the game. Anyone? Anyone?

If I’m not mistaken, this is to show that some things yoshi eats cannot be turned into an egg. Instead of an egg, there’s a poof of dust.

Given the importance of his job and the prominence he’s personally achieved as well as the culture of the business world in his country, I’m sure Shigeru Miyamoto has his fair share of professionalism and he’s probably even a real hardass at some times

But man, everything about him just seems so pleasant. Did you know that he pretty much always wanted Yoshi to be a part of the Mario games? Like, from the first title, it was something he was pushing for - I guess he had a horse as a kid and wanted to bring how much fun he had back then to the experience of Super Mario Bros. - but the original NES couldn’t handle it. With each sequel he kept pitching this idea with just as much enthusiasm, and it almost happened with Super Mario Bros. 3, but similar hardware issues forced a compromise and instead what we got were the costume power-ups.

Can you imagine the look on his face when one of his programmers came bursting into his office with a prototype of the Super Nintendo’s CPU and was like

“We’re ready”

“Ts…tsui ni”
