Other M was such wasted potential.
The Metroid series doesn’t get enough love.
It is one of the few games that could make a very successful movie as long as it had a good director and didn’t do what Other M did to Samus’ character. (Team Ninja’s characterization was just sexist and a complete opposite of her established character. They made her cowardly and frail, instead of astute and strong-willed.) Samus is a strong person. The armor comes on and her sex is irrelevant. It is a testament to humanity, we are a single species and the universe is indifferent to our self-imposed notions of gender.
