I completely agree. I’ve just started Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D and she’s just too cute. (See figure A.) Her teasing is snarky, her playfulness is adorable, and her consideration is sweet. She never gets annoying and it’s always a relief when she has something to say. That and the way she flirts with Snake to keep him motivated makes her an easy favorite.

The plot to the Metal Gear Solid series as described by someone who has never played it.

This sums up my understanding of the series quite well. I’d add that there are giant robot war machines or something called “metal gear.”

Metal Gear Solid 3D is being remade for the Nintendo 3DS.  Or at least I think it is.  Kojima released a tech demo to this game during the unveiling of the system listed above, but as of now no one really knows if this is the game that is planned for release for the 3DS.  But there will be a Metal Gear Solid title for the 3DS in the future, but if this turns out to be a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, then Kojima will have to take an action to a concern I have.

Big Boss, the main character, loses his eye partway through the game.  His right one if you must know.  Why does this matter?  Well, one can go into the first person perspective of Big Boss and shoot a gun or crawl around or whatever suits the players’ fancy.  In the original game, when our main man lost his right eye, there was a faint black blurriness around the right side of the screen in first person mode, because after all, he had lost an eye and you are viewing the world around you from his persepective.  This was a neat touch Kojima added to the game, but translating this to the remake may be tricky in whatever he tries to pursue.

Will the 3D aspect disappear in first person mode at this point in the game?  One needs two eyes to see depth in the world.  He has only one.

Your move Kojima, your move.
